Do you remember our story about the the lost bumble bee? Marianne would show us how to make a bee hotel for the solitary bees that visit our garden or balcony, looking for a place to nest and lay eggs. After making some regular wooden bee hotels, she figured it would be nice to use some other material for a change. Clay!
“These clay shapes are the bee hotel’s exterior,” Marianne explains, “and I will fill them up with bamboo, pine cones and some other stuff.” Next time we will show you the result.
The bee hotels everybody knows, made of wood and bamboo. They look like regular houses with a roof. But it’s fun to just let your imagination run free, like Marianne did.
How very cool!
